Musical Misfortune as a game show came together from an idea by Gene on a Discord call with a couple of people. With input from many friends and colleagues, he wanted to create a game/activity to do with many musicians to be able to replace open mic nights from a community server that stopped doing them. Taking the time to plan what was needed to create a gameshow that felt concrete and achieved the vision Gene wanted, Musical Misfortune is an event/community that will continue to grow as more time and support goes on.
